There was a heavy mist that morning as we drove from our inland motel back onto the PCH. Just as we got on the 101, we saw a narrow opening to a rest area beside what seemed like a body of water from cracks through trees. I turned sharply onto the exit and was greeted with this view. The calmness of the lake, the morning glow of the sun behind fog, and the serendipitous exit to get there made it quite a sight to see.
