While the Many Glacier and Going-to-the-Sun road areas of Glacier National Park are somewhat close together, Two Medicine is much further south. In the one week we spent there that trip, we did not make it out to Two Medicine until it was time to continue our roadtrip back down to LA. That morning, we woke up very early, packed the car, and drove the ~90 minutes from our hotel in St. Mary to Two Medicine Lake just in time for sunrise.

We had much more driving afterwards, so we only stayed around the General Store / Campground area. Two Medicine is the least crowded and most remote part of Glacier National Park, and the slower pace there reflected that. Campers sat around with coffee in hand enjoying the lake view, in contrast with eager hikers and tourists getting an early start in the other two areas of the park. That combined with the lack of wind and perfectly still waters made for a very serene sunrise.
